Recipe: Golden Milk Tonic AKA Turmeric Latte
This recipe is made with our Turmeric Gingersnap Herbal Tea, which features turmeric as well as lemon, ginger and lemon balm. However, you can make it with any turmeric tea! :)
This recipe is fairly straightforward and follows the same steps as our Homemade Spiced Chai recipe. It is a little different than most recipes out there, which typically use turmeric powder and steamed milk. The stovetop method will extract rich and deep elements from your spice blend. Feel free to adjust it and make it yours, there's no one way to enjoy it.

Here's the recipe in full detail below. It makes one serving, but you can double, triple or quadruple it if you have company...or just want more for yourself.
STEP 1. BRING TO BOIL WATER, MILK AND TEA
In a saucepan, add 3/4 cup milk, 3/4 water, and 2 teaspoons of tea and turn the stovetop heat to the highest setting. A lid on your saucepan will bring it to a boil faster.
For ease of measuring, you can use your drinking mug, fill it halfway with milk and the rest of the way for water.
STEP 2. REDUCE TO MEDIUM, LET IT SIMMER
Simmer your beverage for 6 to 10 minutes (depending on how rich you like it compared with how much patience you have!). You can simmer it with the lid off, then it will concentrate a little as steam evaporates.
STEP 3. SWEETEN, STRAIN, ENJOY
Stir in 1 teaspoon of honey or maple syrup and turn off the heat. Pour your liquid gold over a strainer into your waiting mug. Then sip and savor your invigorating tonic!
