Masala chai, meaning “spiced tea,” is India's best known beverage, filled with caffeine and spice. This chai is ginger & cinnamon forward, with hints of clove and classic cardamom. Made with an orthodox assam black tea from northern India, this tea packs in the flavor and holds up even when boiled. Make a cup on the stove the traditional way with milk and sweetener, or steep it like a tea, however you like.

Add 1 teaspoon with 3/4 cup water, 3/4 cup milk in a saucepan. Bring to a boil then simmer for 10 minutes, and strain. Or, steep 1 teaspoon in 1 cup boiling water for 5 minutes. Add sugar or honey to taste and enjoy.
